A Pansoph's Walt Disney World Recent Updates

Back to Pansoph's Walt Disney World

April 4, 1999:   Continuing with additions to Animal Kingdom, here is the prehistoric part of the park.   DinoLand will take you down memory lane about 70 million years - back when they called it prehistory.   Last time we looked, there were no live animal exhibits DinoLand, but there are places here that might make you think you are being ogled by an Iguanodon.   You may feel like you're actually at an archaeological excavation, but don't be surprised when dinosaurs come to life!

March 21, 1999:   We got a new award Today!:   Check it out and take a look at the neat site that chose pansophist.com.   More Animal Kingdom coming soon!

February 25, 1999:  It's Tough to be a Bug : A cross between Honey I Shrunk the Audience at Epcot's Future World and Muppet Vision 3-D 4-D over at Disney's MGM Studios, Animal Kingdom's It's Tough to be a Bug takes the best of both and adds some more.

This is a 3-D attraction you experience deep beneath the roots of The Tree of Life.   So put on your bug eyes and sit down for a riotous presentation by the bugs of the world.

January 25, 1999:   Kilimanjaro Safaris:   The second and largest part of this Animal Kingdom addition includes 29 pages of Kilimanjaro Safaris.

With 28 fantastic photos, the Safari in the pouring rain, takes you from hip-wading Hippos to Baboon condos, across the Savannah, by Giraffes in the mist, gnus in the trees and an Elephant that flees.   From A Baobab to Zebra, more animals were out in the rain than were in the bright hot Florida sun.

Future updates:   More Animal Kingdom to come.   More MGM scheduled, especially more Tower of Terror and more Indiana Jones.   A look back at Journey Into Imagination in Epcot's Future World.   More Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom.   More inside photos of rides and attractions.   Stay tuned, the photos are endless.

January 9, 1999:   Horizons pavilion at Epcot closed.

January 4, 1999:   Animal Kingdom:   This is the first part of a huge addition.   Animal Kingdom starts with 20 pages of the Tree of Life.   This is going to be a real tribute because, if they thought they were going out on a limb for this, they have instead come up with their tour de force and have given something significant to the world.   Safari in the rain coming soon.

Horizons:   A few days ago a new poll went up here that asks if you want Horizons to close or not, as Disney has planned.   The NO response has been overwhelming.   If you want to tell Disney your thoughts about this (it seems like many of you think Disney is turning its back on the future), write:

Mr. George Kalogridis, President of Epcot, PO Box 10000, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830-1000

January 1, 1999:   Happy New Year!   Disney World is planning to close Epcot's Future World Horizons pavilion forever.   Register your opinion in the poll below left and find out how to tell Disney World your opinions at Save Horizons.

Animal Kingdom coming soon!   Other future additions include photos inside Journey into Imagination with Figment and Dreamfinder, Timekeeper in Tomorrowland, new Test Track photos, more Indiana Jones, and a whole more than that.

Horizons:, Disney's visionary look into the future, is apparently slated to close and rumors are that it won't be coming back.   Take the tour of Horizons of Epcot's Future World.   See how history imagined the future as well as how we envision the future today.   If Horizons is terminated, the future may cease to exist at Walt Disney World but it will, in honor, remain here

December 5, 1998:   Animal Kingdom is coming soon.   The addition of Walt Disney World's newest park has been delayed.   Stay tuned for a safari in the pouring rain and find out why you see more animals when the sky opens up.   In the meantime, cast your vote in the December poll.

October 16, 1998:   Horizons:   This is a huge addition.   Be warned, the opening page has 42 thumbnail photos.   Take the tour of Horizons, the most appropriately themed attraction in Epcot's Future World.   See how our ancestors imagined the future and how we envision the future today.

October 5, 1998:   20,000 Leagues Under the Sea:   Take a nostalgic ride in the Nautilus Submarine.   Travel beneath polar ice caps to adventure beyond your imagining.   20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, 1971-1995.   It is gone from Disney World yet preserved here.   The legend lives on.

Just a note for posterity, on October 5, 1949, The animated feature film, The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad was released.   Also known as Ichabod and Mr. Toad, The film was originally titled Two Fabulous Characters.   It comprises the two animated short films, Mr. Toad, and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.   And is also a member of the Walt Disney World Lost Attraction Club, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride in Fantasy Land.
August 30, 1998 : Epcot's Germany:   Another fantastic pavilion.   Lots of fun even without a ride.   Eight photos of Germany.

August 24, 1998 : Big Thunder Mountain Railroad:   Just two days ago six new photos of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Magic Kingdom's Frontierland were added.   This update includes several Big Thunder construction photos taken in 1979.

August 16, 1998 : China:   Pansoph's World Showcase now includes all eleven countries.   This week, learn more about Disney World's China at Epcot.

Now that all the countries are represented, others will get more photos, starting with those with only one image, followed by Village Traders, some panoramas, plus a little about the Fall Food and Wine Festival.   Travel World Showcase and find out why it is fun for the whole family.
