Tomorrowland

When we were there in October of 1994 the old Tomorrowland was still in evidence (see last two photos) and not long after we left a complete renovation began.

You may wonder why Tomorrowland looks more like a nostalgic recreation of some of H.G. Wells' best imaginings than an attempt to portray the future.   Imagining the future is Epcot's job whereas this is for entertainment.

For one thing, in the author's opinion, there are more great attractions here than any land in the Kingdom.   The Timekeeper is wonderful with Robin Williams' voice and mannerisms.   For a good scare there is ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter (beware, it is very frightening to children and others).   Space Mountain thrills millions.   And the more skilled you are at video games, the more you will enjoy Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, where you live the game.

I still love Carousel of Progress after all these years.   Though it is most often closed these days, stay tuned to this site for lots of photos.   The Skyway (aerial tram) to Fantasyland used to be a must but alas, has gone the way of many fun attractions.   However, there is still much to do and enjoy.
