Parting thoughts on 1997 testing: A tremendous investment of work and money went into this ride. Most of the investment was to ensure the safety and resultant sheer fun of Walt Disney World's guests. Even though for some us the wait was agonizingly long, the drawn out time allowed us to more clearly observe the efforts Disney puts into the perfection of its attractions. Finally, we can just enjoy the ride.
Don't you just love this clever billboard where a young Elvis look-alike standing on the factory assembly side pulls back a curtain to reveal a blissfully happy family speeding through Epcot in a futuristic car. Can you wave at 65 miles an hour?
