Tracks
A favorite hobby of mine was walking the local railroad tracks as a kid. Growing up in one of the oldest rural southeastern Massachusetts towns provided a wealth of exploration and the railroad tracks always brought a sense of mystery. We kids found bounties of blackberries and wild grapes. We also found a great pond to swim in, only needing to remove the leeches before getting our clothes back on.
"Tracks" (see also detail) portrays many of the feelings these adventures gave me, plus the mysteries which lie ahead. I still like to walk the railroad tracks and wonder.
