Mexico

This is a small Mexican border town just over the Texas border from Progreso, Texas, just southwest of Harlingen, Texas, near the Gulf Coast. It was a long lonely drive down the entire state of Texas but well worth it.

It was late December and quite comfortable weather for us New Englanders, yet everybody down here was dressed for winter. These boys happily let me take their photo for pocket change. Notice they wear coats but no shoes.
