China World Showcase at EPCOT
The hall is very symbolic. The twelve outer columns stand for the twelve months of the year. Four columns in the center of the hall represent the four seasons and the square beam atop the columns are the earth, which is topped by a round beam representing heaven. The dragon symbolizes strength and the phoenix stands for peace.
Here, a tour guide informed us that the movie, which this is the entrance for, was fraught with complications and that, for some parts, the film crew was blindfolded for the trip to their destination.
Inside the Temple of Heaven is the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest and the entrance to the film Wonders of China.
