Caernarfon is a beautiful castle in North Wales near the Menai Strait. Another creation by King Edward I, most of the city is walled as well, giving the entire area an impressive look. We happened on Caernarfon on May Day much, much to our amazement there was a medieval tourney and entertainment scheduled. They really know how to put on a show, one of the archers gave me his broken arrow which I treasure to this day, and a dear friend was crowned queen of the tourney and treated appropriately. Caernarfon Castle is where Charles was ceremoniously crowned Prince of Wales.
