All those trees that were making it hard to see the construction remain a mystery today. If you look at all the later photos of Big Thunder, the trees aren't there. If you take a really close look at all the photos, these trees are too close to the mountain, perhaps on the mountain itself. Were they "plants" (pardon the pun) in order to camouflage the project? I think so.
